Usher’s new video for his new dance track, “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love Again” is out, and I’m once again disappointed with Usher. It seems like all of his dance videos have the same look and feel to them. Lil Freak, Love In This Club, Hey Daddy, etc. Watching the videos back to back is the biggest snoozefest. Actually if I watched Love In This Club and DJ Got Us Fallin In Love without listening to the music, I would get the two mixed up. The “OMG!” video was a fresh change from all the crappy videos Usher has put out, and I thought a change had finally come, but now this “video” came out. Blah, Usher, BLAH!
Last year, after hearing the song “Help, I’m Alive” on the radio, I went on a mission to find out who the artist was. After some googling, I found out it was a band called METRIC. Now, one year later, I’m happy to say that Metric is my favorite band, EVER! It’s hard to find a band or musician where you are in love with every single song, and that is the case with this band. Every song is amazing, and has a great message. Emily Haines, the lead vocalist, has a unique voice, that compliments their synthetic beats perfectly. I went to see them a few months ago at LUPOS in Providence, and it just made my love for them grow bigger. Their current single is called “Gold Gun Girls“, and shows exactly why Metric is so genius. If you don’t know about them, make sure you do you research and go buy their records, just like I did.
