DIDDY STAYING TRUE TO 90’s HIP-HOP/R&B!

It seems that lately, a lot of the music being released is very generic and bland. With mostly all the songs on the radio sounding the same, we need something different, something raw. There are some artists who do stand true to REAL MUSIC (Lady GaGa, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Alicia Keys). But now we have even some of the best vocalists of all time (e.g. Mary J. Blige) leaving their roots for more radio-friendly sounds. In my opinion, Diddy is definitely staying true to his roots when it comes to his new project “Dirty Money”. Listen to any of the songs (especially “Love Come Down”) and you’ll immediately get that “Mo’ Money Mo’ Problems” feel. That feeling that makes you just wanna break out into the harlem shake. The music might not be GENIUS, but its a great effort, and it’s entertaining enough. Diddy, obviously isnt a great MC, but he knows how to make a catchy hip-hop song, just like he did in the 90’s with songs like “Missing You” and “It’s All About The Benjamins Remix”. I honestly believe that DIRTY MONEY is giving hope to the music industry, but the generic, fun pop music, isn’t letting real music into the “club”. Hopefully, Diddy can come up with the right promotional plan for this “Last Train To Paris” project, because I believe it can be successful with the right promotion. And I think people need to look back to the 90’s when real music was out, and compare it to “Dirty Money”, I think people will see what Diddy is trying to do with this project. I think the music industry is ready for something FRESH, and something REAL; I think “Dirty Money” it that.
