Last week I had the privilege to attend an exclusive screening for Beyoncé’s upcoming Tour DVD, “I Am… World Tour”. The DVD will feature not only a compilation of over 20 performances from 100 shows, but personal home video showing what goes on in Beyoncé’s life when she’s not on stage. What may come as a surprise to many, Beyoncé actually directed and edited the 2 hour film herself, a process that took over 9 months to complete.

I have to say, this film was remarkable in every way possible. Not only did Beyoncé do an amazing job on the editing, but the actual footage included was perfect. This DVD will turn any Beyoncé hater into a fan. It’s mesmerizing to see Beyoncé perform in a stadium filled with over 52,000 people, like she did in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It’s also great to see her stripped back, even in pajamas on her bed at one point. You get to see Beyoncé completely uncensored for the first time, from her “Day-Z” countdown, to being called a bitch at a paris clothing store. The film show’s Beyonce as the legend that she is. Justin like Michael Jackson and The Beatles, Beyoncé’s fans are shown crying and even being carried out because of her presence. This DVD is hands down her best, even better than her critically-acclaimed bestseller, “The Beyoncé Experience”.

Be sure to get your copy of the DVD, which includes a special documentary, live CD, and 40 page booklet, on November 30th. But if you can’t wait ’till then, a made-for-tv version of the DVD will be shown thanksgiving night on ABC at 9:30 PM ET, and a standard edition of the DVD will be available only at Wal-Mart on Black Friday.
